/ bio

Sarabeth Kendall Arima is a mixed-media artist and designer residing in the Southeast. After earning her BFA in Fine Art in 2017, Arima went on to work for a bespoke furniture line before committing to a full-time studio practice of her own in 2019. Upon designing a collage for an exhibit at The Birmingham Museum of Art in 2018, Sarabeth’s demand grew, and several commissions later, a new vision for Sarabeth’s artistic expression began.

Raised in a family that has a deep history in and love of the arts, Sarabeth is a fifth-generation artist and has practiced art for as long as she can remember. While a classically trained painter, her current practice is a more graphic iteration of traditional portraiture. She applies her practice to other forms, releasing bodies of work that are more abstract and non-objective.
